Bio

Cory Hill is a Nationally Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist who helps patients reconnect with their loved ones. He believes the art of communication is integral in fostering relationships and hearing aids are the tool to ensure patients can re-engage with what is happening around them.

From his first semester in college, Cory knew he wanted to help others. He studied Communication Disorders and was an All-American swimmer in 100 and 200 Butterfly and 200 I.M. at the University of Redlands. After his first year, he traveled to Sendai, Japan on a two-year full time service mission. In Japan, Cory discovered a love for language and communication. He returned to the U.S. determined to make a difference.

Cory personally understands how vital hearing aids are to communication as his wife Ashley was born with a moderate sensorineural hearing loss. Thanks to hearing aids, she leads a normal life and people are often shocked she has a hearing loss. On a daily basis, Cory witnesses how hearing aids enhance a weakened sense, enabling the wearer to enjoy a richer quality of life.

After two years as a hearing instrument specialist, and during his time as a trainer, Cory received his National Board Certification. He is licensed to practice in four states and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language and Literature and minor in Communication Disorders from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He came to Virginia Beach in February of 2017 after serving as clinical trainer for a nationwide hearing aid practice headquartered in suburban Chicago.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing catch with his two-year-old son Levi, doting on his new daughter, chauffeuring his wife to craft fairs and teaching his chocolate Labrador, Sienna, new tricks. He is very active with the youth in his church, serves as Scoutmaster for a local Boy Scout troop, and is also an avid reader, swimmer, and recreational scuba diver.
