Annette Cross | BC-HIS CEO and President of Provincial Hearing
Annette started in the business in 1992 as a secretary, and fell in love and knew this was her calling.
Growing up in a farming family she was familiar with hearing loss in her family and found the industry very interesting. In 1997, she had the opportunity to purchase the hearing clinic, and has grown it to four locations in Nova Scotia.
Because of Annette's passion, she has been involved in all aspects of the profession, not just in Nova Scotia, where she has held all executive positions, but Nationally as the N.S board member on the Canadian Hearing Instrument Practitioners Society,as well as holding the IHS Canadian Governor position to currently being IHS Pres-Elect.
Besides helping provide better hearing her at home, Annette has also volunteers her time around the world with the Starkey Hearing Foundation and has been on nine missions, including Turkey, Egypt, El Salvador, Panama, Jamaica, Kenya and the latest in China. It is truly rewarding to be able to help the less fortunate, and literally experience watching their lives open up through better hearing. It is truly one of the most rewarding experiences she has experienced. Annette's offices now has a program in her offices called "Everyone Hears," where they fit donated hearing aids at home to the less fortunate and to those that qualify.
